GAA’s social courses help aquaculturists understand the principles of social accountability, not just comply with standards or regulations. Topics covered include fundamental labor rights, worker safety and health in the workplace and housing, and community relations.

This series explains basic principles of water quality and procedures that minimize environmental impacts. The courses describe how to measure key water quality parameters and maintain them within optimum ranges. Environmental issues and solutions are also addressed.
Animal Welfare
This important program conveys best management practices that limit the presence and impacts of destructive animal diseases. Courses cover the importance of biosecurity, use of healthy seedstock, proper feeding and other aspects of pond and hatchery management.
